On June 27, 2020, Minister for Infrastructure Jone Usamate, Minister for Health and Medical Services Ifereimi Waqainabete and their entourage, a total of 10 persons have inspected New Navosa Hospital Project. Project Manager Yuan Chunjun and other management personnel accompanied the inspection.

They inspected each functional zone and facilities of the Navosa main hospital, highly praising the project department for overcoming difficulties and carrying out the works during the covid-19 pandemic. They expected the new hospital would improve the medical care standards of provinces in central region and provide medical security for local people during covid-19 pandemic. Jone Usamate said he would continue to support Yanjian to develop its business in Fiji and contribute to the friendship between the peoples of China and Fiji and to promote of the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

This project was commenced in April, 2018, and will be completed on September 29, 2020. Now the cleaning works after indoor decoration, additional access works and landscaping works are in progress.
