From 26th to 30th Oct, lead by David Parkinson, the Mackay delegation from Australia of 12 people visited our city and company. The representative of Yantai municipal government met with the delegation during their visit and the two parties signed the Letter of Intent to Establish Relationship of Sister Cities Between Yantai and Mackay. Besides, the delegation also visited some outstanding projects undertook by Yanjian group and they met with the Chairman of Yanjian group Tang Bo and other administrators of the company.
Yang Liping, the deputy mayor of Yantai City met the guests in Golden Gulf Hotel and introduced briefly the economic and social development of our city and the communication with Australia. She expressed that Yantai values the relationship of sister cities with Australian cities and welcomes Australian companies to invest and trade in Yantai while encouraging Yantai companies to do the same in Australia. Yanjian group has established good cooperation relationship with Mackay, the two cities has established sister-city relationship on this basis and promoted the communication and cooperation in trade, culture, education and technology for both cities. David Parkinson thanked the warm reception of the Yantai municipal government on behalf the Mackay delegation and said Mackay will pay more attention to Yantai's development and actively seek communication and cooperation opportunities with Yantai. The relationship between the two cities will be more tight. The two parties signed the Letter of Intent to Establish Relationship of Sister Cities Between Yantai and Mackay Region after the meeting.
Tang Bo, the Chairman of Yanjian group, had a friendly meeting with David Parkinson and the othre visitors. Mr Tang first welcomed the visit of the delegation and introduced the company to the them and also said that taking the opportunity of the signing of the Letter of Intent to Establish Relationship of Sister Cities Between Yantai and Mackay Region, both parties will benefit form the communication and cooperation.
